Best Game of The Year Crysis 2?

Crytek does a good job of balancing the depth of 3D. Most of the game's 3D effects are subtle, which makes moments that aren't like my chopper fight but more impactful. Crytek played the Xbox 360 version of the game in front of the press, the first such demonstration of its kind. The original Crysis, first released in 2007, still gives many of today's PCs a tough time. Crytek has mapped the three most common functions to single buttons invisibility on one bumper, increased health on the other bumper and finally sprint is mapped to the click of the left stick which makes it much simpler.

Crytek's updated Cryengine 3 deserves much of the recognition for achieving this immersion. The world you get to play around in is beautifully realized. Crytek said it tweaked the engine so well that there is hardly a dip in performance - that's despite effectively running Crysis 2 twice simultaneously to achieve the 3D effect. We found little performance dip at all on our test system with Crysis 2 only dropping a few frame rates. Crytek and EA boast the game as the innovator when it comes to graphics on console games. I definitely am not one to say they are wrong.

Crisis 2, on the other hand, is one of the few shooters that truly makes me feel powerful, allowing me to wipe out entire squads of armed soldiers like a kid crushing a line of ants under his foot. And it's all thanks to the Nanosuit. Crysis 2 is a first-person shooter by EA Games developed on the cutting-edge Cryengine 3 technology. The world has been ravaged by a series of climatic disasters and society is on the verge of total breakdown. Crysis 2 executive producer Camarillo says that Crysis series has every reason to be as big as Call of Duty series. He says that it cannot be over night, but the company is taking steps to make the Crysis 2 a great success.

Crysis 2 combines the intensity of linear FPS games with the open sandbox game play that Crytek and Crysis are known for. Choreographed sandbox makes for an amazing game play experience. Crysis 2 is the first game built on Crytek's new state of the art multi-platform game engine, Cryengine3 and can be played in stunning high-definition in either 2D or stereoscopic 3D. Crysis 2 will feature the addition of the Nanosuit 2, an upgraded version of the original Nanosuit. The largest change is that there are 2 main modes rather than 4.

Players can customize their weapons and Nanosuit to fit their styles, and can unlock additional gear as they earn experience during matches. Ranks go up to 50, and players can perform a "suit reboot," an option similar to Call of Duty's Prestige mode. Players that like to get in and tweak their graphical experience will be extremely disappointed. Also included is a checkpoint save system, which I personally feel should never be the only option offered to PC gamers.
